SCREENING OF THE MOVIE CARLA'S LIST AND PANEL DISCUSSION

On Thursday, December 13th in the UNITIC Movie Theater Pravo Ljudski and the RDC organized the screening of the film ‘Carla’s list’ and a panel discussion. The panelists were Marinko Jurcevic, chief prosecutor of BiH; Refik Hodzic, the representative of the ICTY; president of the RDC Mirsad Tokaca and professor Zdravko Grebo from the Law School, University of Sarajevo. The issues that were being discussed were the mandate of the chief prosecutor Carla Del Ponte and the work of the ICTY.

After the screening, the panelists had short presentations and the audience also got involved by asking numerous questions about the accomplishments and shortcomings of the ICTY; the sentencing policy, the archives and the mandate of Carla Del Ponte that is leaving the Tribunal this month after almost eight years.

Due to the significant interest of the public and the media, the organizers concluded that there is a need for additional public events with similar issues being discussed and that they will, in collaboration with their partners, organize them again in the near future.  

The screening of the film and similar panels were held, within the same project on the same day in The Hague, Zagreb and Belgrade where the audience participated with a lot of interest.
