STATEMENTS - INTRODUCTION

The first time on the web and probably the unique way you have witnesses' statements.

This selection of authentic statements from women-victims of crime, and other eye-witnesses to the crimes, is merely a tiny part of the large documentation owned by the Commission for Gathering Facts on War Crimes on the Territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina .

The names of victims and perpetrators have been left out.

The names of victims have been left out in order to protect them as invaluable witnesses and to avoid potential inconvenience within their environment.

The names of perpetrators have been left out due to the pending investigations - everything should be done to prevent obstruction of the investigative proceedings and of the criminals' arrest.

The integral (original) text is kept in the archives of the Commission under the ordinal number stated in the book.

No changes to the language or style of these statements have been made. The statements were recorded and are being presented here in their true form, that is, as they were narrated by the victim.
