REGIONAL OFFICE 'PODRINJE' IN GORAZDE

On the tenth anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica and the anniversary of the liberation of Goražde; on Sunday, September 18th 2005, the Research and Documentation Center opened its first regional office 'Podrinje' in Goražde.

One of the most important reasons for opening this regional center is the research and documentation of the facts about war crimes and other forms of mass human rights violations. By opening this office, a more personal and direct contact with the victims and the witnesses will be made possible.

The local officials, both from the executive and the legislative government attended the opening ceremony as well other honorable guests from the cultural, political and social life of the community.

The office was opened by the RDC's oldest co-worker Mustafa Sućeska from Višegrad and the mother, Mejra Dautović from Prijedor.

The regional office 'PODRINJE' is primarily dedicated to the citizens of this area that will, next to the library and club, have access to the facts and the truth about the events from recent history.
